Wildlife biologist Marianne Hudson keeps Auburn’s mascot flying high.
On the job: “This will be the tenth football season that I have worked as a wildlife biologist
and raptor specialist at Auburn University. At Auburn, my partner and I work together to train raptors for flighted educational programs. The raptors at these programs include the eagles that fly at the Auburn home football games. The
two of us have a group of volunteers whose help is essential for our training and educational presentations. We do hundreds of educational shows per year all over the Southeast for tens of thousands of people. We use the live birds as a catalyst to get students of all ages excited about learning.”
